Symptoms:
CorelDRAW related issues:
Issue 1: CorelDRAW software can’t be installed or it was installed but can’t run either in CorelDRAW Graphics nor standalone.
Issue 2: CorelDRAW software can run standalone, but it cannot run in CorelDRAW Graphics – the CorelDRAW Graphics button is greyed-out
Solutions:
First of all, please make sure the latest CorelDRAW X6 update and hotfix have been installed. You may check it by going to Help > Updates… menu.
Issue 1: This problem is most likely caused by a conflicting IE (Internet Explorer) toolbar. Uninstalling the suspicious toolbar should fix the problem.
Steps to uninstall the suspicious toolbar in Windows 7
Start>Control Panel>Programs and Features> select the program and click Uninstall.
Known suspicious toolbars: Searchqu from Bandoo, Search Result toolbar from APN LLC
The following are compatible: Google toolbar, Bing toolbar and Yahoo toolbar
Issue 2: This problem is most likely caused by corrupted Microsoft .Net Framework software installed in Windows.
Solution 1: Reset the plugin file for the CorelDRAW software.
i) Open Windows Explorer
ii) For 64 bit Windows, go to “C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6\Draw\Plugins64” folder, or for 32 bit Windows, go to “C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6\Draw\Plugins” folder
ii) Delete all of the files in this folder (the plugin file is “.cpg” file)
Note: at this point, the problem may have been fixed. If it is not fixed, then please continue with solution 2 below.
Solution 2: Reinstall Microsoft .Net Framework and Repair CorelDRAW software
i) Turn off Windows UAC (Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control settings)
ii) Reboot PC
iii) Uninstall Microsoft .Net Framework software (all of them, if there are more than one)
iv) Download and install Microsoft .Net Framework V4.5.2 from Microsoft website
v) Reboot PC
vi) Do a software repair for CorelDRAW software (go to Control Panel > Uninstall a program)
vii) Reboot PC
viii) Start software and click on the CorelDRAW Graphics button
Note: the problem should have been resolved.
ix) Turn on Windows UAC to the default setting
x) Reboot PC
Note: at this point, the fixing procedure is finished.
